Are you planning a trip to Quepos or Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and want to experience something different?Contact Extreme M&R Adventure Company and they will show you and your friends or family an unforgettable experience. In fact, one of the best in Costa Rica.
In 2015, Marjorie, her son Maurilio, and her daughter Sarah, decided to open their own tour company to share the beauty of the Costa Rican Mountains and Rivers in the Pacific region. Marjorie and Sarah handle the booking and the administration while Mau, Roger, Jeison and Anthony take their clients on extraordinary adventures of tubing, rafting, hiking, and kayaking. During each tour they talk about the flora and fauna and history of Costa Rica. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore or relax and see amazing sites like the Pacific ocean, rolling rivers, and refreshing waterfalls.
The Savegre River offers a great place for a tubing tour to not only enjoy the exhilaration of gliding through the rapids, but also to enjoy the clean air, awe of the lush rainforest and all of the unique wildlife along the way.
The Savegre River also offers a great full day rafting tour for the family, the novice, or the expert in you. While on a short hike to the secret spot, you will pass by natural pools and the professional guides will explain the different trees, shrubs, and all the creatures walking through or soaring over the virgin forest. Once at the secret spot, you will meet the challenge of class 2 and 3 rapids and enjoy the wonderful waterfall.
When a client is interested in a half day of rafting, the Naranjo River tour is the place to go. Depending on the season and the water level, the client will have an opportunity to stay upstream of the river or experience the rush to tackle the river and allow the rapids to take them to the basin.
For the client interested in a true challenge, El Chorro Rapids Tour will offer not only the challenge one is looking for but also the beauty of the canyons, in a class 4 section.
The Nauyaca Waterfalls Tour is amazing. The name Nauyaca is derived from the Quepoa language, meaning Fer-De-Lance (a venomous pit viper found in Central and South America). During an extensive hike to the falls, the guides will explain the history of the area and it’s significance. Roger explained that for those clients that want to have the experience, but find the hike a difficult journey, M&R will book transportation to the waterfalls, free of charge. The journey is spectacular; full of natural beauty of the flora and fauna. The clients do have an opportunity to swim in the virgin waters, so don’t forget bathing suits.
For the clients who just want to enjoy the waters, consider The Mountain/River/Ocean tour. Adults and kids alike can revel in the natural mountainous phenomena of three spectacular waterfalls, a natural water slide, places to jump in the water and caves to explore (during low tide). Before driving back to the Manuel Antonio area, the clients will enjoy the contrast of the Pacific Ocean at Playa Ventanas.
For the Pacific Ocean experience, M&R offers a great Kayaking Tour. Starting the trek at Nahomi Park in Quepos, the client will enjoy the beautiful coastline of Quepos/Manuel Antonio and will kayak to spectacular Bisaenz Beach where they can choose to spend time on the beach and enjoy the quiet cove or go snorkeling. While snorkeling, they will have an opportunity to see a variety of marine life and the beauty under the Pacific Ocean waters.
All of the tours offer the clients water to drink and snacks or lunches depending on the type of tour. For the safety of the client, Roger stressed that proper footwear is necessary, snorkel equipment and water shoes are provided, and due to the preservation of the marine life lotions and sun blocks are discouraged.
Marjorie, the president of Extreme M&R Adventure Company was proud to share that the company is fully licensed and all her staff are bilingual and fully certified. She shared that the staff take regular water safety training and natural science training to offer the best to the clients. Each tour has two guides and for large groups, they do have contract guides available. They are client oriented, professional, and will customize tours to ensure that each client has an unforgettable adventure. Marjorie shared that throughout the years, they have had many clients returning to take their tours. One shared that “Mau was very skilled, knowledgeable and I felt very safe at all times ….
