Just one hour away from San Jose, the varied topography of this 1,200-acre private reserve which serves as a buffer zone to the Braulio Carrillo National park, invites you to discover the rainforest?s mysteries and incredible wild beauty during a trekking tour led by specialized guides. Board the Aerial Tram at the main building of the Atlantic park, which will transport you to tower 12. Along the way, you will find out more about how to safely explore the wonders of the primary rainforest, before starting the hike down to the Corinto River, through the dense primary forest. Along the way, there are small but difficult ascents, and at times a bit of mud adds to the adventure and challenge. The hike is demanding, but the rewards are fantastic. The river is gorgeous, its crystalline waters gather high in the mountains. Take a refreshing dip in one of the river?s natural pools surrounded by nature in its purest form. After a rest on the riverbank and a well-deserved picnic-style lunch, you will hike back to tower 12, walking along the trail that separates the Rainforest Adventures? reserve from Braulio Carrillo National Park.
