What You Can Expect
Your private day trip to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve starts at 6 am. Get picked up from your hotel a little before six, and make yourself cozy in the private van. Please note that since this is a private tour, you can adjust how long the tour lasts as needed for your personal schedule.
On your way to the park, at about 7:30 am, stop for a bite to eat. Once breakfast is over and you?ve made it to the reserve, take a 1.5-hour guided hike. Walk over bridges as you admire the wildlife of the area. As you go, keep an eye out for creatures that call the reserve home, such as sloths.
Next up, visit the hummingbird garden, and become familiar with the different types of hummingbirds. End the day getting to know how coffee, sugarcane, and chocolate are grown and made by visiting local farms and factories. After, you?ll be taken back to your hotel aboard your private van.
