If this place was anywhere other than the jungle Koky would be a millionaire because he makes the best dry bar b q ribs. He is a nice guy and willing to sit down and chat and always smiling. If you have the time this is a must visit while in the Quepos area.
Koky's is a family run restaurant just past Naranjito. It can be hard to find because you have to turn onto a wooded driveway to get there. They have one thing on the menu and that's chicharrones. Chicharrones, in Costa Rica, can be the fried pig skin that you might imagine, or they might be morsels of pork cooked either on the grill or deep fried. Koky cooks his chicharrones on an open fire and they are delicious. You order by weight(kilos). You can order a quarter, half, or more. The meat is perfectly cooked, not too dry and the flavor is very good. It's served with yuca and lime. Okay, so there's more than one thing on the menu. They also serve soft drinks and beer.
