Nicaragua One Day Tour
Nicaragua, Costa Rica’s northern neighbor, is extremely close to Guanacaste. A beautiful country with a rich culture and full history, Nicaragua offers travelers a unique contrast to Costa Rica.
This journey begins early in the morning to avoid lines while crossing the border. Be advised, all tour participants need to have both their passport and flight itinerary. Once across, you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast near the city of Rivas. You’ll continue on until you reach Granada, one of the first cities founded by Europeans in America. A colorful, vibrant place, Granada was built with Spanish colonial architecture that remains in place today. In Granada, a horse-drawn carriage will take you to the city’s most notable attractions. You’ll visit the main church – known simply as “Catedral” – and the Plaza de España, where you can take in magnificent views of Lake Nicaragua. Nearby, you’ll have lunch at a nice restaurant with great views.
Natural Rainforest
In our first stop, we visit llanos de Cortes waterfall located in Bagaces, to enjoy and refresh yourself in clean and fresh water. then we visit the animal sanctuary las pumas, to see all the rescue animals. we can see pumas, ocelots, toucans, snakes, monkeys and other animals in danger.
Palo Verde River Cruise
This riverboat trip will give you a taster of the enormous Palo Verde national park, which is on such a scale that it covers several different terrains, including swamps, savannahs, and evergreen forest. As such, it’s home to lots of different plants and animals, which you’ll be sure to see today. The river stretches for 144 kilometers through the park and is by far the longest in Costa Rica. As you cruise along its waters, your guide will point out wildlife including white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, snakes, iguanas, and bats. This place is also a paradise for birdwatchers. More than 300 types of birds have been seen in the park, including flamingos, herons, spoonbills, toucans, and eagles.
Rincon De La Vieja National Park

As a tour member, you'll have the opportunity to spot such creatures as howler monkeys, sloths, tapirs, and even pumas. Your naturalist guide will help to interpret and inform as you hike along the park's trails, ensuring an exciting and educational day spent in one of Costa Rica's most magnificent national parks.

Miravalles Volcano
This tour begins with a one-hour drive through the Guanacaste mountain range. During this portion, you’ll be privileged with excellent views of the dormant Miravalles Volcano. Although the volcano hasn’t experienced significant eruptions in some time, it continues to expel gas and geysers near its base— emanations which are used by the government to produce geothermal energy.
The bus stops at Las Hornillas, a site that’s at the foot of the volcano and close to many of these geysers. Here, you’ll be either ride on horseback or be towed in a horse-drawn carriage to a nearby forest. You’ll hike for 40 minutes through a biologically diverse forest and visit some scenic waterfalls.
