While watching the professionals harnessing and instructing a couple getting ready to go up, I was impressed with the time the pros took to explain the process while double checking the harnessing. Later I found out that there are two routes depending on the wind, one getting a great view of the hills and the town of Quepos and the other getting a spectacular view of the Manuel Antonio Park. In speaking with a tourist who was waiting his turn, he told me that it was his and his friends’ third time visiting Costa Rica and their third time going parasailing with Aguas Azules. He explained that he loves the feeling of weightlessness and the freedom he experiences while soaring in the sky. As I was leafing through one of the brochures, Miguel showed me a picture of couple in their nineties and told me that they went parasailing to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary. Guess that is something I should put on my bucket list, but I won’t wait until then.
